Captivating: Angelina Jolie arrives today for the screening of In The Land of Blood and Honey, in Paris, France


After a tear filled and emotional premiere in Sarajevo, Bosnia, the world's most talented acting couple arrived in Paris today.

The French capital was left in awe as Angelina Jolie took centre stage in a wonderful dress for the French premiere of In the Land of Blood and Honey.

The 36-year-old took to the red carpet in the long white dress and even her gorgeous husband couldn't steal the limelight from her in her sophisticated outfit.


Jolie wore her hair down and kept her make-up simple with her famous full pout covered in red lipstick and a small amount of dark eyeliner highlighting her eyes.

Her Ralph & Russo dress, which was worn with Lorraine Schwartz earrings, and Jimmy Choo shoes, had a large flower creation that resembled a white rose on the left shoulder with small black stone detail lining the upper creases of the dress.

The one-shouldered creation showed off the stars flawless skin and some of her tattoos as she sashayed down the red carpet.

Her husband kept things simple in a black Gucci suit with a matching waist-coat and a white shirt.

The 48-year-old completed his stylish outfit with a pair of shaded glasses and wore his growing hair down with a centre parting.

Paris was the second stop on an international tour to promote Jolie's new film and directorial debut, after Bosnia where the movie was well received with a standing ovation.

An emotional Angelina fought back tears as she said: 'To share this with you means the world to me.'

In an interview after the screening she said: ''During the screening, “Brad and I sat together last night and he held my hand and I just took a deep breath and cried.'

Set against the backdrop of the Bosnian war, the film tells the story of a Bosnian Serbian soldier Danijel (Goran Kostić), who comes across former love Ajla (Zana Marjanović), a Bosniak woman who is now a captive in the military prison camp he oversees.

The actress revealed her directorial experience on the movie helped her appreciate film again, after 'becoming disheartened,' with the medium.

She said: 'This film has taught me to love film again because I see what film can do and I see and I am re-inspired because I was not feeling very inspired as an actress. I was feeling very disheartened.

'I came to this film not because I wanted to be a director, I came to this film because the more I researched, the more I learned, the more angry I got.'

Angelina said she hoped the film was a 'wake-up call' for the international community to pay more attention to atrocities and act to prevent them in countries such as Syria, where a government crackdown has killed thousands in the past year.

'I am satisfied with what we made,' she said. 'I feel very strongly about it and I believe that its core issue - which is the need for intervention and need for the world to care about atrocities when they are happening - is very, very timely and especially with things that are happening in Syria today.'

They couple may return to France later in the year after reports that they will tie the knot after being pressured into it by their children.

The power couple are said to be planning on getting married in a small and intimate ceremony at their 16th-century French chateau.
