'In serious danger': Sinead O'Connor, pictured here at the Albert Nobbs soundtrack release party in West Hollywood on January 6, has been tweeting worrying messages

Despite reuniting with her new husband recently, it seems Sinead O'Connor is far from being happy.

The 45-year-old singer made an urgent plea for pyschological help today via her Twitter account.

Taking to the social networking site, the mother-of-four claimed that she was in 'danger' if she didn't receive medicine immediately.

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer began her series of odd Tweets by claiming that Ireland is a 'VERY hard place to find help in.'

'Does any1 know a psychiatrist in dublin or wicklow who could urgently see me today please? im really un-well... and in danger,' she tweeted to her 5,422 followers.

She then went on to say that she was in 'serious danger' and revealed she was going to casualty after breaking her ankle.

It seems that her latest outburst was triggered by an article in which she says 'tried to lose' her husband his job.

Another cry for help: The singer tweeted several urgent requests today

Irish Independent News reporter Niamh Horan published a story at the weekend stating that O'Connor had warned her: 'DO not f**k with me or my husband.'

Horan claims that the threat came after she raised questions over the conflict of interest between her husband Barry Herridge's job - counselling drug-addicted teenagers - and pictures of him being splashed all over the tabloids last week.

After announcing her brief split from Herridge, O'Connor revealed that she had taken her husband on a 'wild' search for marijuana on their wedding night.

The singer's response to the questions was: 'You better make sure you don't bump into me... I mean it. Do not fuck with me or my husband.'

O'Connor was pictured arriving back at her home in Wicklow, Ireland walking with a pair of crutches.

Injured: The mother-of-four claimed she had broken her ankle and was then pictured arriving home using a pair of crutches as her daughter shielded her

Shielded by her daughter Roisin, the star was wearing a pair of grey trousers and a bright red hoody as she made her way inside.

Her Twitter outburst follows a 'cry for help' from the singer last year when she revealed she wanted to commit suicide.

Following the disturbing tweets in September, O'Connor spoke out about her suicidal thoughts.

'I have no shame around the fact that I can be shot into suicidal feelings by certain people's treatment of me,' she said.

'I am no different to any other person, I therefore act as I believe any other person should be free to.'

But today she obviously realised that her posts could be misconstrued as another hint at suicide and quickly decided to reassure her followers.

Together again: O'Connor recently split from her fourth husband Barry Herridge who she married in December but the couple have since reunited

'me dont wanna leave me kids. or f**k up me work. im sorry worrying any1.. is just am sick and ireland s**t for finding help cant think of any other way,' she wrote.

The singer, who admitted that she attempted suicide on her 33rd birthday 11 years ago, recently split from and then reunited with her fourth husband Barry Herridge.

The couple married in Las Vegas on December 8 after dating for just four months.

Nothing compares to him: Sinead O'Connor and husband Barry Herridge, pictured at their Vegas wedding last month, have apparently reconciled

Just a week after announcing her fourth marriage was over after just 16 days, it appears Sinead O'Connor has changed her mind.

The giddy singer, 45, took to her newly re-opened Twitter account in the early hours of this morning to reveal she was reconciling with her husband Barry Herridge.

In rather revealing messages, the Irish star said the couple had been 'love-making'.

Admitting they rushed down the aisle following their Las Vegas nuptials on December 8 after just four months of dating, O'Connor explained they would be 'boyfriend and girlfriend again' - despite still being legally wed.

Under her Twitter handle 'vampyahslayah', The Nothing Compares 2 U star wrote: 'Guess who had a mad love making affair with her own husband last night?

'Yay!!! we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend again an (sic) stay married but we did rush, so we gonna return to b friend g friend and be sickenly (sic) happy an go counsellin (sic) an move in like a yr like regular people...

'But stay married an we all in love an f**k every other motherf**ker who don't like it.. so me all happy!! me love me hubby.. he love me... f**k who no like it.. God is good!'

Excitement: O'Connor revealed the couple had reconciled on her Twitter page in the early hours of this morning

O'Connor revealed the couple's marriage had ended in a lengthy statement on her official website on Boxing Day.

In fact, they had only lived together as husband and wife for seven days following the ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel.

Initially, she blamed the 'intense pressure' on the couple and admitted his friends and family were unhappy with the union.

A few days later, she revealed their relationship ran into problems immediately after the ceremony when she went on a hunt around Las Vegas for cannabis.

She told The Sun: 'We ended up in a cab in some place that was quite dangerous.

Getting on with life: O'Connor performed in Dublin on New Year's Eve, despite her marital troubles

'I wasn't scared - but he's a drugs counsellor. What was I thinking?
'Then I was handed a load of crack. Barry was very frightened — that kind of messed everything up a bit really.'

She met drug counsellor Barry, 38, after he replied to her online blog in September in which she said that she was 'sex-starved' and asked potential suitors to apply.

Clearly happy with her reignited lovelife, she later added on Twitter: 'So Sinead got laid!!!... and all well.

'Yay!!! me husband is a big hairy cave man an (sic) came to claim me with his club : ) and now I'm in cave-land.. yay!! We both go panto!'

Herridge is the latest husband in a list of short-lived marriages for the unlucky-in-love star.

She was previous wed and had a son Jake with musician John Reynolds in the late 80s, journalist Nick Sommerland from 2001-2004 and musician Steve Cooney in 2010 - which ended less than a year later.

She also had a lengthy on/off relationship with Dermott Hayes and another that lasted about a year from 2006 and 2007 with Frank Bonadio, who is the father of her son Yeshua, four.

Split: Sinead O'Connor has ended her marriage to Barry Herridge, her fourth husband, after just 16 days

Sinead O'Connor has announced the end of her fourth marriage, which lasted just 16 days.

The singer, 45, wrote a lengthy and heartfelt message on her official website after fearing the news of her split from Barry Herridge, who she wed on December 8, was about to be leaked.

O'Connor revealed that she and Herridge actually lived together as husband and wife for just seven days before ending their relationship on Christmas Eve, 16 days after their Las Vegas union.

The Irish star blamed 'intense pressure' placed on her husband from members of his circle following their sudden Vegas union, which she revealed ended in a 'wild' journey to find marijuana.

O'Connor told her fans that the pair have parted amicably and said she still loves Herridge 'very much,' but that he was too nice 'to trap.'

She wrote: 'From the moment myself and my husband got together not long ago, there was intense pressure placed upon him by certain people in his life, not to be involved with me. These were people who had never met me but had formed opinions of me based on what they read about 'Sinead 'O'Connor' in the media etc.

'I love him very much': The singer made the announcement on her website, revealing the couple only lived together for seven days

'Entitled as they are to their opinions about me many perhaps well deserved, there was no righteousness on anyone's part to put my husband through what he was put through as a result of his desire to be with me and to marry me and as a result of his actually marrying me.

'Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband's life. And also by a bit of a wild ride I took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don't drink. My husband was enormously wounded and very badly effected by that experience and also by the attitude of those close to him toward our marriage.

'It became apparent to me that if he were to stay with me he would be losing too much to bear. And that being with me was not going to serve him positively , career wise or any other wise. I saw his life leave him because of how people close to him reacted. And I can't take anyone's life. And a woman wants to be a joy to her husband. So.. U love someone? Set them free.

'Intense pressure': The singer blamed Herridge's circle for reacting negatively to their sudden union

'Wild ride': O'Connor revealed a 'wild' journey she took on their wedding night in search of marijuana 'as she doesn't drink' wounded her husband

O'Connor continued: 'He is a wonderful man. I love him very much. I'm sorry I'm not a more regular woman. I truly believe though it is painful to admit, we made a mistake rushing into getting married, for altruistic reasons, and weren't aware or prepared for the consequences on my husband's life and the lives of those close to him. He has been terribly unhappy and I have therefore ended the marriage. I think he is too nice to do so. And too nice to trap.'

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer asked for fans and media to respect her husband's privacy, and added: 'Meanwhile I intend to get on with being fully me. With never an apology for ANY part if being FULLY ME. No matter what.

'I am a 21st century full woman and proud of living it. I am in a very good and happy and strong place in life so I am doing fine. The marriage was 16 days. We lived together for 7 days only. Until Xmas eve. And we haven't been awful to each other.

'So while I feel sad for my husband, and sad to be the cause of sorrow to yet another poor man, I'm also happy that I know we weren't horrible to each other and he is better off free. And that I can be me. And that's a freedom I can't give up for anyone or anything.'

She ended the announcement with 'rock n roll'.

O'Connor and Herridge wed at The Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas after just three months of dating.

After the ceremony, for which she wore a pretty strapless pink dress, O'Connor wrote on her blog: 'Dear friends... amongst whom I include whomever may be reading this with a view to writing about the glorious marriage.

'Am blogging this cus media people are naturally seeking me. On Sunday I will put up a blog on whole day. Too glorious for words.'

Blushing bride: Sinead O'Connor couldn't hide her delight as she made her first public appearance soon after her wedding

O'Connor also made fun of stars who invite famous friends to their nuptials, by uploading a photo of empty chairs alongside the caption: 'Photo of the celebrity guests at our wedding.'

She has only been dating Barry, who works as a counselor for people with addiction problems in Dublin, for three months.

He replied after she wrote on her blog in September that she was 'sex-starved' and asked potential suitors to apply online.

'Barry sent me this wonderful email, which just took my heart away,' she told the Irish Independent before flying out from Heathrow to the U.S yesterday.

'It had to be him... I had no intention of getting married again but Barry was extremely persuasive. He proposed to me on every single date we have had since August. He is extremely persuasive -- and other unprintable things.'

Sealed with a kiss: Sinead O'Connor married boyfriend Barry Herridge at the famous Little White Wedding Chapel yesterday, days after announcing their engagement

Sinead O'Connor only announced two days ago she would wed her unknown boyfriend of three months in a ceremony on Thursday.

And true to her word, the eccentric Irish singer tied the knot for the fourth time in a quickie Las Vegas wedding on her 45th birthday yesterday.

She walked down the aisle with Irish therapist Barry Herridge, who she met online, at the famous Little White Wedding Chapel in Nevada's Sin City.

The ceremony lasted just 15 minutes and the couple invited no guests - even Sinead's four children - apart from the cameramen.

She described the ceremony on her blog as 'Too glorious for words', and promised to tell all when she was less distracted enjoying time with her new husband.

She also posted a picture of an empty chapel, with the caption: .Photo of the celebrity guests at our wedding'.

Sinead dressed unusually girly yesterday and looked to have lost weight, looking more like her Nothing Compares 2 U heyday in the 1990s.

The tomboy wore a strapless pastel pink maxi dress and chunky pink metallic and silver heels.

But she failed to conceal her numerous tattoos, including a massive design on her chest, and is still sporting her trademark shaved head.

In love: Not much is known about Barry, a therapist she met online after a desperate plea by the singer for a decent man to come forward

Joining the group: The Little White Chapel in Las vegas has been the venue of choice for several celebrity weddings, including Britney Spears, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, and Judy Garland

Barry wore a suit over a pink shirt that matched Sinead's dress and had a red rose in his lapel that matched her bouquet.

The couple looked smitten with one another, sharing a passionate kiss for the cameras and staring into each other's eyes as they walked sown the isle after being pronounced husband and wife.

They cuddled up on a pink Cadillac - reminiscent of Elvis Presley's iconic car - before heading to a hotel in the gambling capital of America.

Sinead even shed a few tears as she sat with her new husband before they headed to a hotel for their wedding night.

She has only been dating Barry, who works as a counselor for people with addiction problems in Dublin, for three months.

Scrubbing up nice: The singer shed her usual tomboy image for this pretty strapless pink maxidress and chunky heels, but failed to cover her numerous tattoos

Happy tears: The singer got extremely emotional as she sat with her new husband after the ceremony was over

The pair met up at a coffee shop and apparently 'talked for hours'.

Barry revealed the contents of the email to the paper.

We did it! The newly married couple snuggled up on a pink Cadillac

'I was getting off a train at Connolly Station one morning when I saw this woman acting strangely on the platform,' he said.

'At first I didn't know what she was doing, and then I realised she was playing hopscotch. It wasn't Sinead but a business woman in a suit and in her 30s, just having a bit of fun.

'I wondered why more women that age weren't doing the same thing? And it struck me that this was exactly what Sinead was doing with her search for love, having fun, and I told Sinead about this woman in my first email.'

He added: 'I love Sinead more than anyone I have ever met, or anybody I will ever meet. I am going to look after her.'

Sinead said she didn't want a big ceremony.

'I've been married before, but I've never had my dream wedding in Vegas. I wanted to do it there because it's casual, quick, not religious and, most of all, very romantic.

'People always complain, 'you never invited me to your wedding', but I prefer casual weddings. I'm so happy.'

Pucker up baby: The couple shared several passionate kisses for the cameras and stared into each other's eyes lovingly after being pronounced husband and wife

Igniting the flame: Sinead said Barry proposed on every single date they had until she said yes

The newlyweds have no time for a honeymoon as Sinead is due back in Dublin tomorrow to attend the aftershow party for a concert marking the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International.

The Little White Chapel has been the venue for several celebrity weddings, including that between Britney Spears and childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004.

Other notable ceremonies include the wedding of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore in 1987, that between Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow in 1966, and Judy Garland and Mark Herron in 1965.

Nice ride: The car is a tribute to Elvis' pink Cadillac. Some websites claim he married Priscilla at the chapel in 1967, but they actually tied the knot at the Aladdin Hotel

Still in the spotlight: The cameras were invited inside the chapel to capture every moment of the wedding

Sinead announced on her blog on Wednesday she was marrying Barry in an 'undisclosed location', although reports speculated they would be walking down the aisle in Las Vegas.

She wrote: 'With enormous joy myself and my beloved boyfriend Barry Herridge will be getting married tomorrow, December 8th 2011 at 'an un-disclosed location' in my absolute dream wedding ceremony.

'We will post a photo or two here on the site as soon as possible afterward. Very happy girl. : )'

Just wed: The newlyweds leave the chapel and head for their hotel

Keeping occupied: The lovebirds at their hotel afterwards where Barry played with an iPad

Wonder who is paying the bill? Sinead whipping out her credit card at the hotel

She also posted a picture up of the couple beaming at the camera.

The hitmaker kept the happy news quiet when she appeared on the Ian Dempsey breakfast radio show on Today FM the day before, telling him she had no gossip to share.

But Barry rang back into the show on Wednesday morning to reveal all to the host about the wedding.

Now that's taken care of: Sinead and Barry share a joke as the cameras snap away at their every move

Still going at it: The couple couldn't keep their hands off one another as they smooched in the hotel

Ian wrote on his Twitter page following their chat: 'So Sinead O'Connor was holding back yesterday. Boyfriend Barry Herridge got back to us today to reveal that they will wed tomorrow.

'And it's Sinead's birthday tomorrow too. Congrats to them both. And Sinead's new album is sounding great too.'

The singer shocked the nation by writing a series of candid blog posts on her website earlier this year, detailing specific requirements she was looking for in a man.

She wrote in September that she was in 'desperate need of a very sweet sex-starved man,' but specified that they 'must be no younger than 44, must not be named Brian or Nigel, must be blind enough to think I'm gorgeous, has to be employed and he has to like his mother.'

Getting weddy for marriage: Sinead O'Connor and her fiance Barry Herridge are pictured at Heathrow airport heading to Las Vegas to tie the knot

Failed marriages: The controversial star wed third husband Steve Cooney in 2010 but less than a year later it was over

And it seems she's found her perfect partner in Barry after a whirlwind romance.

The singer has been married three times before - including to music producer John Reynolds, journalist Nicholas Sommerlad and most recently to Steve Cooney, who she wed in July last year, but divorced in April.

She has four children from various relationships.
