She's one of the sexiest female soap stars of the moment and is often handed awards for looking good.

So it's hardly surprising Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan seems confident when it comes to choosing what to wear on the beach.

The actress, 25, sizzled in a white bikini as she played in the sea while on holiday on the Caribbean island of St Vincent last week.

Michelle, who plays Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street, stayed at the exclusive Buccament Bay Resort and relaxed on the beach during her time off.

She wore a white Vix bikini while she played in the surf as the waves gently broke on the sand.

The star appeared to be enjoying the benefits of a break in the sun and looked tanned and healthy as she enjoyed the warm sunshine.

While Michelle seemed happy to show of her enviable figure while on holiday, she recently admitted she doesn't consider herself sexy.

She told Hello! magazine: 'It makes me laugh that people think I'm sexy, because I'm not at all.'

And the actress also seemed in better spirits breaking up with her former The Wanted singer fiance Max George this summer.

On the split, she said: 'Obviously it was a very sad time for us, as we were together for 19 months. But I got to think of it as, "I'm not the only girl who has ever had a break-up".

'The worst part for me was having the whole thing played out so publicly. In the end, I had to simply ignore the gossip and throw myself in my work.'

And Michelle admits she is feeling much better now and that she was lucky to have a good support network of friends to rely on.

She added: 'I was really busy with some great [Coronation Street] storylines and my friends were amazing.

'But eventually you just have to let things go and get on with life. I'm in a much better place now.'

Michelle and Max first started dating in 2010 and the boyband star proposed to the actress with a £10,000 ring in April 2011.

The pair's busy work schedules are said to have put a strain on their relationship and they cancelled their engagement in April this year.

The romance finally ended in July when Max was seen kissing another girl during a night out.

Until now, she has kept covered up as she joined her fiance on the beach.

But Michelle Keegan gave holidaymakers a New Year's Day treat as she stripped off to her bikini, revealing her incredible toned body.

The Coronation Street actress and her boyfriend Max George spent the first day of 2012 with his band mates from the Wanted, taking a sailing trip around Barbados.


The group were in the Carribbean to play a private New year's Eve concert with Rihanna at the plush Sandy Lane resort where Simon Cowell is staying.

Michelle, 24, boarded the boat in a cute floral white and pink dress, clinched at the waist with an elastic band, and a pair of black flip flops.

Max, 23, couldn't keep his eyes off his stunning fiancee as they walked up the beach.

Like a gentleman, he carried her bag.

Bizarrely, Michelle was then seen donning a pair of long denim overalls, before the heat eventually got to her and she peeled off her clothes to reveal a cute swimsuit.

The two-piece featured a black and white striped halterneck top and black bottoms.
The couple lazed on the yacht, taking in the stunning views.

Michelle, who plays Tina in Corrie, exposed her flat stomach, and long bronzed legs, while Max revealed his buff chest, wearing just a pair of red swimming trunks.

She looked relaxed with a makeup-free face and had her brunette locks tied up in a loose bun.

The couple were joined by Tom Parker and his girlfriend Kelsey Harwick, and Siva Kaneswaran and his girlfriend Nareesha.

Their fellow bandmates Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes were also there but had not brought along any lady friends.

Before The Wanted took to the stage the night before, the jokey five said they wanted to party with Barbados native Rihanna.

'She is a messy character so hopefully we will get her involved in our parties,' Max told The Sun.

In preparation for their exclusive concert The Wanted have been keeping a hectic schedule of sunbathing, sailing and tweeting.

They often find themselves up for sexiest female prizes at various soap award ceremonies.

So it must be difficult trying to come up with an outfit to make themselves stand out from their equally attractive co-stars.

But it seems Michelle Keegan, Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson hadn't conferred on what each of them would be wearing to the relaunch of the Malmaison Hotel in Liverpool.


All three girls arrived at the event wearing incredibly tight trousers, with the trio all opting for the sprayed-on look for their bottoms.

While Michelle teamed her black trousers with a pretty top and a pair of thigh-high boots, Brooke and Sacha, who play lesbian couple on the ITV soap, donned matching ruched trousers, albeit in different colours.

Brooke went for a pair of black bottoms, paired with a printed T-shirt and black leather jacket - giving her a rock chick look overall - as Sacha went for eye-catching blue, worn with a white top, tan heels and a black jacket.

As usual, Brooke and Sacha were virtually inseparable as they arrived for the event tonight.

However, the pair could soon find themselves pushed apart after claims their Corrie characters will be splitting later this year when Brooke's Sophie cheats on Sacha's Sian with Nikki Patel's character Amber.

A source said: 'It's all going to get very messy indeed. Sophie will be split about Sian and Amber - but it will be her feelings for Amber that will win the day.

But being betrothed has clearly finally sunk in for Michelle Keegan, who showed off her engagement ring today.

The Coronation Street actress and her singer fiancé Max George were snapped sharing a kiss in Manchester.


The couple had just done a supermarket shop and were taking the bags to the car when they stopped and smooched in full view of the cameras.

And Michelle, 24, flashed her marquise diamond as she pushed the trolley along and then moved in for a kiss.

George, 22, who is in boy band The Wanted, proposed with a ring and a puppy and this week, Michelle spoke about the surprise proposal.

She added: ‘It’s dead exciting because I really didn’t see it coming.’

Max presented Michelle with an engagement ring which the actress described as ‘gorgeous’ shortly before her birthday earlier this month as well as a chihuahua called Pip.

While Manchester-born Max is based in London with the rest of his band members, Michelle lives in their home town filming the Weatherfield-based soap.

And with their successful careers, the actress has revealed the couple have no plans to wed this year.

Michelle, who used to date Hollyoaks star Anthony Quinlan for two years from 2006 to 2008, also used her magazine column to reveal that her future husband isn’t domesticated but said: ‘I’m confident that will change soon.’

As The Wanted kicked off their first-ever UK tour in Manchester, Max George’s Corrie girlfriend was there to support him throughout the night.

Michelle Keegan raced over to the Manchester Apollo after finishing filming Coronation Street last night to watch her boyfriend’s gig.

And the couple made sure to celebrate after the successful concert by checking into the Radisson Edwardian Hotel for a romantic night.

After the band wrapped up their opening night, Max, 22, and Michelle, 23, were spotted walking hand in hand back to the hotel.

On stage Max had been showing off his physique in a tight white vest top but changed into a looser T-shirt afterwards, branded with ‘Give Youth A Future’.

While Michelle, who plays Tina McIntyre on the soap, dressed down in skin-tight jeans and a red and white striped loose top.

And Swinton-born Max told the Manchester Evening News that his girlfriend is more nervous about their tour than the band is.

He said: ‘It’s weird, I think Michelle is possibly more nervous than we are. She’s going to be there at both of our Manchester dates and I can’t wait.’

He continued: ‘At first I wondered if it was a good or bad thing that we start in Manchester, because, obviously, I’m worried about making mistakes in front of a home crowd.

‘But then I figured we’re probably going to make mistakes wherever we go! The Manchester Apollo is a legendary place in Manchester culture so for us to play it twice, it doesn’t get better than that.

‘When I was a bit younger, I really loved the metal gigs. I remember seeing P.O.D live at the Apollo and that was incredible, although I did get a bit beat up in the moshpit.’
