A little too much make-up: Lark appeared to have overdone the blush and lipstick

They'll always be high school students in our hearts.

But sadly our teenage idols grow up too, and Lark Voorhies is no exception.

And now the Saved By The Bell icon is barely recognisable, having fast-forwarded from her terrible teens to the ripe old age of 38.

Remember her? Lark Voorhies has changed quite dramatically since starring Saved By The Bell as Lisa Turtle

Having rather generously applied her blusher and lipstick, the Nashville-born star spoke to Yahoo! over possible plans for a reunion of the Nineties show set against the backdrop of Bayside High.

When quizzed about the likelihood of getting the old gang back together, Lark admitted: 'We tend to circumvent and come around to this topic quite often, so I think the buzz might catch.

Continued success: Lark has continued to work in the industry and now has her own production company

'I really honestly believe if it did happen it wouldn't be a bad thing. We just did a People magazine spread and that was a nice reunion.'

The NBC show followed the trials and tribulations of Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), 'Screech' Powers (Dustin Diamond), Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen), Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley), A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) and Lisa as they battled their principal Mr Belding (Dennis Haskins).

Speaking of the show's success, Lark said: 'Every television package has a progressive process, and although it started with Disney, it grew in popularity and I suppose there was a big scramble by the networks and NBC happen to catch the win. So there we found our home!'

She also revealed she has been 'very busy' with her new production company, and has written, directed produced and starred-in a new film called The Hope For Pandora's Box.

Growing up: Lark, 38, still has the youthful smile from yesteryear

Now and then: Mark-Paul Gosselaar was a fresh-faced teen in his heyday before starring in Franklin & Bash

Better with age: Elizabeth Berkley was rather uptight as Jessie, but has morphed into a blonde bombshell

Other characters from the show also found success following their glory years, with Mark-Paul landing one of the lead roles in drama-comedy Franklin & Bash last year.

Tiffani went on to play Valerie Malone in Beverly Hills, 90210 for four years, before progressing to White Collar, while female co-star Elizabeth is known for CSI and her foray with Showgirls.

Mario has become a familiar face on US televisions thanks to his presenting role on Extra and placing second on the third season of Dancing With The Stars behind NFL star Emmitt Smith.

Meanwhile, Dustin is perhaps most famed for his 2006 sex tape - which he released himself.
