Half a century old: Madonna and Kim Cattrall attended a screening for W.E. in New York City tonight where their inevitable ageing was obvious
Together they 108 years of experience in turning back the clock.
But tonight, caught under a rare flash of honest lighting, Madonna and Kim Cattrall - who have been poster girls for looking 10-years younger - looked like they had given up on the eternal quest for youth.
Regardless of any cosmetic procedures they may or may not have had, 53-year-old Madge - who often appears airbrushed in her magazine campaigns - and Kim Cattrall, 55, were apparently showing signs of their true age.

Both women were pictured at a special screening of Madonna's new romantic drama, W.E. at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
But while they looked confident and glamorous, both were sporting lines around their eyes which were clear to see under certain lights.
Madonna, the film's director, chose an edgy, rocker type get-up that consisted of black trousers, fishnets, open toe pumps, an embellished tank and jacket.

She wore her hair - mostly covering her eyes - down and wavy.
Kim went with a more classic look, which consisted of a conservative sleeveless knee-length navy dress and gold pumps.
She wore her hair wavy, but swept a bit away revealing her face.

Earlier this year, the 53-year-old Material Girl received a lot of heat for the heavily-airbrushed Louis Vuitton campaign where they turned back the hands of time giving her the appearance of eternal youthful.
As pictures of Madonna have proved, real life is not an airbrushed advertisement.
Madonna has never confirmed having any plastic surgery done, although rumours and speculation say otherwise.

But the 55-year-old Sex and the City star has admitted to using Botox on her forehead, Kim is too scared to go under the knife.
In 2008, Kim said: 'I don't want to look in the mirror and not recognise who's looking back.
Just today, Madonna was confirmed to be performing at next year's Super Bowl XLVI half time show on February 5, which will take place in Indianapolis.
The performance will coincidentally be two days after W.E. hits theatres.
Up next for Kim is the film The Treehouse, where she will star opposite Jeremy Irons and Tom Sturridge.

Madonna's screening tonight also pulled in some star power.
On hand for the screening of the film were: Chloe Sevigny, Parker Posey, Anderson Cooper, Valentino Garavani, Michelle Trachenberg, Beth Ostrosky, Andrea Riseborough and Jeff Gordon.
W.E. tells the story of the affair between King Edwards VII and American divorcee Wallis Simpson and the contemporary romance between a married women and a Russian security guard.
