Oh my gawdddddd: Lucy Mecklenburgh is embarrassed when boyfriend Mario Falcone tells his family they had a pregnancy scare on last night's episode of The Only Way Is Essex
Meeting your boyfriend's family is an important milestone in any relationship.
But for The Only Way Is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh, a dinner with boyfriend Mario Falcone's Italian family didn't run as smoothly as she hoped.
When the family quizzed Lucy, 20, over her homemaking skills and how many children she would like, her tailor boyfriend awkwardly revealed the couple had had a pregnancy scare the other day.
Too much information: Mario Falcone (right) had no qualms about telling his mother Kim about the couple's personal drama
He said: 'We had a bit of a scare the other day, but it was just a bug...'
An embarrassed Lucy tried to bury her head in friend Lydia Bright's shoulder and assured Mario's parents they weren't about to become grandparents just yet.
She said: 'I was just sick, but it was fine. I'm not.'
When Mario Snr welcomed her to the family, his son added: 'We're not getting married, we're just moving into together.'
So embarrassing: Lucy tries to bury her head in friend Lydia Bright's shoulder
I'm not going to be a housewife: Lucy looked unimpressed when his family suggested she should cook and clean for Mario
Although nervous Lucy was being quizzed by Mario's father Mario Snr, mother Kim and sister Giorgina, she had moral support from Lydia, her mother Debbie Bright and boyfriend James 'Arg' Argent.
Traditional Italian mother Kim asked Lucy if she would be looking after her son once they moved in together.
But an incredulous Lucy declared: 'I think he should do it by himself.'
Welcome to the family: Mario's father Mario Snr toasts the happy couple
Grilling: Debbie Bright (left), who is half-Italian, tells Lucy she should be prepared to have lots of children
Mario Snr went on to explain to Lucy that Italian women should look after their men: 'You're gonna cook for him, wash for him, be ready for him anytime...'
Lydia's mother Debbie asked Lucy: 'Are you prepared to have lots of children, Italians like a big family.'
Meanwhile, it appeared Lauren Goodger and Joey Essex were far from happy after Sam Faiers and Mark Wright's 'date' at the dry ski slope.
Cosy: Mark's mother Carol Wright invites Sam Faiers to join the family for dinner one evening
What's going on? Lauren Goodger told Sam she wanted to know exactly what happened with her ex-fiance
Although Faiers told Goodger beforehand, it appears Wright's ex-fiancée wasn't comfortable with it.
Speaking to flatmate Lauren Pope at the launch of Lydia's shop Bella Sorella, Goodger said: 'I think I overheard Carol saying to Sam, to come over and meet the family. I'm hurt cos I spent 10 years trying to get in with them.
'I couldn't go with someone that's just come out of an engagement.'
Nothing happened: Sam told Lauren she hadn't kissed Mark on their date at the dry ski slope
Goodger then took Faiers aside and quizzed her over what happened: 'I appreciate you talking to me the other day. I was totally shocked and upset. I felt like you two are totally in my face. I just wanna know what happened...'
Former glamour model Faiers assured Goodger she had nothing to worry about: 'In terms of kissing nothing happened.'
Then Goodger laid down her expectations: 'I've still go feelings for Mark. It does still hurt me. I don't wanna see it. If anything does happen I want you to tell me.'
If looks could kill: Lauren is not amused to see Sam and Mark talking at Lydia's shop launch
Flirty: Sam and Mark both dressed up for the vintage-themed party
At the party, Wright's mother Carol, 50, had told Faiers how pleased she was about the pair spending time together.
Carol said: 'I said to Mark, you've always been a good choice for him... You must come over to dinner one day with the family. Nanny Pat will cook.'
And when Faiers arrived home after the launch with his older sister Billie, she found a bouquet of flowers waiting for her.
Congratulations: Loyal boyfriend Arg was Lydia's first customer as he bought a £2.50 cupcake
Girlie gossip: Gemma Collins chatted to Billie Faiers about Sam and Mark
The accompanying card read: 'To you, for our very special friendship. Seeing as I have never taken you out, tonight is payback. PS its not a date.'
The pair's date ended up being a cooking lesson, before dinner at Alec's restaurant in Brentwood.
As they sat down to their meal, Mark said cheers to being 'friends with benefits'.
Squeamish: Sam wasn't too sure when Mark took her for a cooking lesson as part of their date
He told her: 'I've always had feelings for you, I still have. It could lead into something...
'Who knows where it will take us. You're like the girl version of me.'
But Faiers was clearly holding back and replied: 'You're a bit of a coward inside and you don't admit your true feelings.'
Here's to friends with benefits: Sam and Mark had an honest chat over dinner about their complicated friendship
'You're a coward': Sam told Mark exactly what she thought of his relationship behaviour
Meanwhile, Joey and Kirk Norcross were also on a date with new TOWIE castmembers Cara Kilbey and Billi Mucklow at the Hollywood Bowl bowling alley in Basildon.
It wasn't long before Kirk got round to the serious questions and asked the women if they'd had plastic surgery.
Insisting he 'loves fake boobs', he told Billi: 'It's pretty hard not to look at them. I'm surprised you don't fall over.'
Double date: Kirk Norcross, Cara Kilbey and Billi Mucklow mock Joey Essex's right shorts at the Hollywood Bowl
Is it reem? Joey makes a move on Cara
Flirting: Cara and Billi certainly seemed charmed by 'Team Jirk'
