After her dreams of being a judge on U.S. X Factor were dashed, Cheryl Cole set her sights on a new ambition - fashion designing.

The Girls Aloud singer has revealed creating her own shoe collection has been a 'dream come true'.

Cheryl has been busy working on every detail of the range, including colour schemes, fabrics and style.

The capsule shoe collection will be available from December, just in time for Christmas.

And Cheryl has admitted the collaboration with Stylistpick.com has given her a new lease of life.

She said: 'I have not felt this excited in a long time.

'I've been dreaming about shoes, millions of them but i wanted the initial six to eight pairs to be everything I've ever dreamed of.'

So far details have been kept under wraps, but it is likely the collection will feature leopard print and polka dots - and a special Valentine's Day shoe in pink and monochrome.

But despite her love of high heels, Cheryl is conscious that not everyone can walk in stilettos.

The singer has chosen colours, fabrics and styles - including leopard print and polka dots - but has tried to make them practical and glamorous

She said: 'I like glamour, but I'm aware not everyone wants to wear a high heel all the time.

'I havent gone too far down the glamour line.'

Stylistpick.com chief creative officer Juliet Warkentin said: ‘We are thrilled to be working with Cheryl.

The capsule collection will be available from December, in time for Christmas
