Sparkling: Dannii Minogue arrives at her book signing in Manchester yesterday
Former X factor judge Dannii Minogue did her best Aussie royalty impression by donning a very familiar looking dress.
Dannii wore a floor length silver dress that was reminiscent of the gown that Pippa Middleton made famous at the royal wedding of Prince William and her sister Kate.
The 39-year-old singer songwriter, who gave birth to her son, Ethan, in July 2010 looked every bit the yummy-mummy as she greeted fans in Manchester and Birmingham wearing her own designs from Project D.
Appearing at WHSmith in the Arndale Centre, Manchester, yesterday, Dannii was mobbed by hundreds of fans who had been queuing from around 8am to see her.
As Dannii signed copies of her book, My Style, some fans cried upon meeting their idol.
Megan Kilby, 16, from Birmingham told the Birmingham Mail: 'I’ve been a fan for eight years because of her music. I waited for three-and-a-half hours, it was brilliant, worth the wait.'
In her new book the pint-sized Aussie reveals her fashion tips and gives readers advice on healthy eating.
Adam Keegan, a hair-stylist from Bearwood, Birmingham, asked Dannii to sign a birthday card for a friend that couldn't get time off work.
The 29-year-old told the newspaper: 'She made the first record I ever bought. It was Love and Kisses – on cassette for 25p.
'She was really nice. My friend couldn’t come and it’s his birthday next week so I asked her to sign his card – he’s a massive fan.'
Whilst many of Team Dannii gushed over how 'fashionable' she is, the singer-songwriter explained why she didn't return for this year's talent show during an interview on Heart FM.
‘It does eat all of us up and spit us out at the end,' she said.

'The dates of the filming got put back twice and I'd already started Australia's Got Talent by the time they said, ''Ok, here it is - let's do the show'',' she said.
Dannii's blunt ending to her X Factor career bears many similarities to Cheryl Cole's - who left the UK to join the U.S. panel, only to be struck off after a few weeks.
The statement will be a shock to members of the new panel - Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos - who all seem to have settled into their new roles very well.
