The morning before Cheryl Cole was nursing a nasty hangover after a night out drinking champagne with her manager Will.i.am.
But the 28-year-old appeared to have recovered last night, in time to celebrate her Girls Aloud band mate Nicola Roberts' 26th birthday.
Although she looked slightly bleary-eyed as she left the party at Covent Garden's Bungalow 8 in the early hours of this morning, she was worlds away from her disheveled self on Thursday.
Ready to party! Cheryl Cole arriving for her Girls Aloud band mate Nicola Roberts' birthday, after tweeting her regret over drinking too much two nights before
Cheryl had partied at the HTC and Beats Audio party at London's Roundhouse and shocked fans when she posted a picture on her Twitter page which showed her clutching a bottle of champagne and holding her finger up in a rude gesture to the camera.
She was later seen heading home, struggling to keep her eyes open as she sat in the back of her car with friends.
But on Friday morning she expressed her regret over the drunken photograph and her antics, saying: 'I just walked past the mirror and caught a glimpse of someone.. I have no idea who she is..'
She then added: 'That's it.. Me and alcohol are not friends..', before continuing: 'Too many bubbles :(.'
Making a statement: Cheryl, wearing an interesting patterned dress, was escorted into Bungalow 8 in Covent Garden by her minder
Worse for wear: Although she looked slightly bleary-eyed as she left Bungalow 8 in Covent Garden, she was worlds away from her disheveled self on Thursday.
But Cheryl looked on form last night - at least heading into the venue.
She looked stylish in a bright, long-sleeved mini-dress and black wedges. Her caramel-coloured hair was tied back into a loose messy bun.
And the only photo she tweeted was one of Nicola beaming at the camera. She wrote: 'I can't handle the cuteness...'
It was a belated birthday for Nicola - she turned 26 on Wednesday but had been with Cheryl at the Drury Lane Theatre to support their band mate Kimberley Walsh in her West End debut in Shrek the Musical.
Rude girl: Cheryl had posted this controversial picture to her Twitter page while out with her manager Will.i.am on Thursday
Friends: Will.i.am, who is Cheryl Cole's manager, tweeted this photo of him backstage with the axed X Factor judge, referring to her as 'Little Miss Tweety Bird'
The birthday girl looked stunning in a pink and gold strapless dress, her red hair cascading down her shoulders.
She was obviously expecting a big night, as she tweeted: 'I'm about to go in... I apologise for the way I come out.. #PaaaarrrrttttyyyyTiiiiiime.'
Kimberley looked stylish in a white strapless dress and nude pointed heels.
The trio were joined by former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens, You Got the Love singer Florence Welch, TV presenter Sarah Jane Crawford and One Direction member Niall Horan for the celebrations.

Meanwhile, Cheryl is said to have celebrated another friends birthday this week- Simon Cowell's.
She reportedly hired a plane and trailed a massive 'happy birthday' banner over his home in South Beach Miami.
It read: 'Simon Cowell is 52 today! Ha ha ha! Love Cheryl xoxo.'
The bold gesture shows the pair may have reconciled with the music model following him axing her as a judge from the U.S. X Factor.
Simon reportedly found the stunt 'hysterical'.
Also on the guest list: Nicola and Cheryl were joined by fellow Girls Aloud band mate Kimberley Walsh
Best friends: Cheryl uploaded this picture of Nicola to her Twitter page, saying: 'I can't handle the cuteness...'
A source told the Sunday Mirror: 'Simon has always loved her sense of humour. Cheryl knows he likes to keep his birthday quiet so he thought it was very funny that she was teasing him over it. They had a strong friendship outside of work.
'The past couple of weeks they have been back in touch and there's no doubt they missed each others friendship.'
Cheryl had already had fans guessing whether they had kissed and made up when she wished him a happy birthday on her Twitter page on Friday.

She wrote: 'Simon Cowell is 52 today. Oops... I don't think he wanted that mentioned... my bad!!'
She then added: 'He is officially in the overs category... hehehehehe.'
Back in June, Cheryl reportedly declared that their friendship was over following her sacking from the talent show.
But job offers have reportedly been flooding in to her manager Will.i.am including three film roles, a cameo in a US TV series and a music collaboration.
'She can't believe hopw many doors have been opened since being dumped by Simon,' a source said.
'Rather than mess up her career, it's almost kick-started it.'
