Packing up: Kerry Katona, seen here at the Hard Rock Calling event in London this weekend, is upping sticks and moving back to her native Warrington
She moved from her native Warrington down to Surrey to start a new life away from her troubled and drug-fulled past and her abusive ex-husband.
But having parted ways with her management and admitting to feeling 'isolated' down South, Kerry Katona is packing her bags and moving home.
The reality TV star is set to move back North to make a fresh start after she and CAN Associates ended their working relationship.
And she has turned to her former PR Max Clifford for advice on starting over and pursuing an acting career.
Max parted ways with her after her disastrous interview on This Morning in 2008 in which she appeared bedraggled and slurred her words.
But the they have remained close and speaking to Closer magazine, he said: 'Kerry's naturally sad about leaving her management but she's trying to stay upbeat.
Homeward bound: Kerry has been making several visits to Warrington in recent weeks and revealed to friends that she feels 'isolated' down South
'It makes sense for Kerry to move back up North because it's cheaper to live there and she still owes a lot of people money.'
But friends are concerned about her moving back to her hometown where her ex-husband Mark Croft lives, the man Kerry blames for her drug addiction.
A source close to Kerry said: 'Kerry moved away to escape from Mark and all the bad influences there. We're worried that she might slip back into her old ways.'
Concerns: Friends are worried that Kerry might go back to her abusive ex-husband Mark Croft
But Clifford said:' She's strong enough not to go back to Mark now. I think she'll be fine.'
Kerry moved to Surrey with her four children after signing for CAN Associates who were desperate to get her away from Croft and sever all links with her self-destructive and drug-fuelled past.
She was reportedly dumped by CAN when she went on a six-hour drinking session two weeks ago, but Kerry denied this.
The move back to Warrington could also have been prompted by the news that she was being made homeless because she has no money.
Big night out: Kerry was snapped looking a little worse for wear as she left a bar after a six hour drinking session, which ended in her parting way from CAN Associates
The former pop star told the News of the World that although she has £400,000 in the bank, she now owes her former manager Claire Powell £350,000 and has just £400 to her name.
She said: 'I've no idea where I'm going to go or what I'm going to do. I've been told I must be out of the house by 5pm.'
CAN had been paying bills for Kerry's £5,000 a month rented home in Surrey and despite her bankruptcy debts, she owes them hundreds of thousands too.
The star said: 'I've got £400 left in my bank account...They paid for my home, my nanny, my mobile phone.'
It makes sense: Max Clifford, Kerry's former publicist, backed her move up North
