True love: The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger insisted her love for fiancé Mark Wright is the real thing after posting a picture of the couple on Twitter
Lauren Goodger has come forward to insist her engagement to Mark Wright is the real thing, and their relationship is 'true love'.
The Only Way Is Essex star has been forced to contend with reports that Mark's proposal, which featured on the ITV2 show, was solely for the programme and claims the pair have already filmed their break-up.
However, Lauren says she has no intention of ever splitting from promoter Mark, and forsees a happy future for the couple.
She said: 'We've got an amazing future and I'm really happy. We've shown everyone for real that it's me he wants. It's true love.
'Mark would never propose just for the show. Now we're back together and people think "poor Lauren", that he's cheated. But actually he hasn't. We have great banter and we love all the same things. We're just right for each other.'
And Lauren also spoke about reports Mark hasn't fully left his playboy past behind him, insisting her fiancé would never cheat on her.
She said: 'It's easy for people to get confused about who he's seeing and who he isn't
Noble steed: Mark and best friend Arg arrived at the engagement party on horseback in scenes shown on the programme last night
All white on the night: Lauren wore a sequinned white dress to the party
'But as far as I know, when he's seeing these other girls, we've broken up. I don't think Mark is a cheater, I think we have just broken up a lot.'
However, things aren't always so smooth for the couple, as Lauren was seen launching an attack on last night's episode after Mark asked ex Sam Faiers to work with him on his new modelling agency.
Threatening to miss her and Mark's engagement party after hearing about Mark and Sam's lunch through Amy Childs' salon employee Paloma, Lauren eventually turned up at the event, although warned Mark, 'I've not forgotten about what happened.'
But later on, Mark proved his love for Lauren as he broke down during an emotional speech at the engagement party.
Weight battle: Lauren, seen here with a friend last week, said she is constantly struggling to maintain her slim figure
Attempting to tell his family and friends exactly how he feels about his fiancée, Mark ended up in tears, before admitting to the crowd: 'I don't know what's going on, why am I getting emotional?'
However, his rare public display of affection was enough for Lauren, who quickly bounded up on stage and gave her man a hug.
Lauren and Mark will have to contend with disapproval from Mark's family before they get married, as Mark's mother admitted at the party she wouldn't believe the pair will wed until they walk down the aisle.
Lauren, 24, also spoke about her battle with her weight ahead of her wedding day, saying she is struggling to maintain her newly-slim figure after shedding the pounds.
She told the Daily Star: 'I'm one of those people who loses weight quickly but puts it on just as quickly. If I train and eat healthily you can notice, but if I drink and eat rubbish you notice.
'I'm being healthy now though, so I'm much more toned and I feel so much more confident in a bikini.'
