Baby joy: Myleene Klass, pictured at the National Television Awards in January, gave birth to a daughter Hero Harper Quinn yesterday evening

TV presenter Myleene Klass gave birth to her second child, a baby girl yesterday evening.

The former Hear'Say star, 32, and fiance Graham Quinn, 36, welcomed Hero Harper Quinn at 5.02pm.

The 6lbs, 2oz arrival joins the couple's three-year-old daughter Ava Bailey.

The classical pianist's news was confirmed in a statement on her official website.

A statement read: 'This afternoon at 5.02pm Myleene gave birth to Hero Harper Quinn. Weighing 6lb and 2oz, Hero is Myleene's second daughter.

'We'd like to send Myleene and family the warmest congratulations.'

Her pop star friend Alexandra Burke was one of the first to congratulate her, Tweeting: 'Congrats to Myleene. So happy for you and Gray.'

Busy Klass worked right up until the birth, even pre-recording her Classic FM radio show on Thursday.

On the way to work, Klass joked she may go into labour on the tube.

She wrote on Twitter: 'Sitting on the tube munching on a pack of Rolos. This is the life... A timely arrival would surely flummox them (London Underground.'

After being photographed heavily pregnant in London this week, Klass thanked her fans for calling her 'blooming', insisting she felt anything but.

She said: 'To everyone that says "I'm blooming", thank you, how very polite. To those that say I look ready to burst, in short, I AM.'

Klass announced in September that she was expecting her second child with Quinn.
She admitted the couple had spent 18 months struggling to conceive.

Klass revealed she had started 'panicking' after not falling pregnant so easily like she had done with Ava and doctors even suggested in-vitro fertilisation to her.

She told She magazine: 'Ava was a surprise so I assumed it would be easy, but it wasn’t. It’s been tough. You get to the stage where every month you’re waiting, and then when you’re not pregnant, it’s so disappointing.

'I was panicking a bit. The doctors started talking about IVF and I was upset. You think, "This is serious, what if it doesn’t happen?"'
