-Angry husband rang ex-cricketer and said 'Leave my wife alone'
All over: Liz Hurley, pictured here with Shane Warne at 'Glorious Goodwood' back in July, has allegedly called off her relationship with the Aussie
The relationship between Elizabeth Hurley and former Australian cricketer Shane Warne is over after he sent a married woman more than 100 sexually charged texts.
Warne, 45, is said to be shattered that Ms Hurley has left him so soon after she split from husband Arun Nayar.
However, she appears to be taking the no-nonsense approach with the Aussie bad boy whose reputation was already hovering somewhere around sleazy.
He is believed to have slept with up to 1,000 women and has cheated on wife Simone several times.
Last night Miss Hurley posted a message on social networking site Twitter in which she compared the situation to The Jerry Springer Show.
Miss Hurley wrote: ‘Er...please take any mentions of me in the latest thrilling instalment of the Jerry Springer-esque saga with a LARGE pinch of salt.’
Warne is said to have told friends he wanted to marry Miss Hurley, 45.
But at the same time as he was romancing her it is claimed he pursued Australian mother-of-two Adele Angeleri, sending her dozens of messages.
Mrs Angeleri – who runs a designer clothes shop opposite the headquarters of Warne’s charity, The Shane Warne Foundation in Melbourne – had approached him about a business proposal.
Worlds apart: Liz Hurley arrives for a hair appointment in Mayfair on Friday, while Shane Warne is seen today at the WACA cricket ground in Perth, Australia, where he is commentating on his country's Ashes battle with England
They swapped numbers but Warne allegedly began sending the 40-year-old increasingly suggestive messages.
One read:'I want to see you riding me.'
On one occasion, he wrote that he was watching her from his office: Your looking very hot today.'
Another said: 'Thinking of you and yes very very horny today!! Big kiss xx'
The text affair was uncovered by Mrs Angeleri’s husband, lawyer Denis Angeleri, who confronted his wife after reading the messages.
Mrs Angeleri insisted the relationship never developed further than the exchange of text messages and said she never met up with Warne, who is separated from wife Simone.
Storm: Shane is separated from his wife Simone
Mr Angeleri, 47, also confronted Warne in an angry telephone call which was met with silence.
He told the Sunday Mirror: 'The only thing Shane Warne is interested in is his d***.'
Warne, who yesterday enjoyed commentating on Australia's victory over England i the third Ashes Test, would not comment.
But he did tweet: 'The journey of life is about riding its ups/downs. We are all childish, immature at times. It's about how you bounce back when things are tough.'
Miss Hurley’s agent did not respond to calls.
Last night Mr Angeleri told The Mail on Sunday: ‘The story is true.’
