'Just Friends': The Only Way Is Essex stars Mark Wright (left) and Sam Faiers partied together at the Mayfair Club in London last night
Fans of The Only Way Is Essex watched transfixed each week as every alcohol-fuelled night out ended in a lover's tiff or cat fight.
And it seems that their behaviour is no different even when the cameras have stopped rolling.
The Mail Online has learned that Lauren Goodger threw a tantrum in front of onlookers in the lobby of the Mayfair Hotel last night when she spotted her ex Mark Wright there with co-star Sam Faiers.
The cast were out in force to celebrate Wright's sidekick James 'Arg' Argent's birthday at the Mayfair Club.
Wright, 23, joined his best friend Jack Tweed, glamour model Sam as well as Arg and his girlfriend Lydia Bright at the London nightclub.
He then headed to celebrity haunt The May Fair Hotel with his festively-dressed friends, including Sam, 19.
An insider tells the Mail Online that when the group arrived at the hotel, 23-year-old Lauren - who was not at the birthday party - was waiting for them, and flew into a rage when she saw her ex with the pretty blonde.
'She started screaming, "Why is Sam here?",' the source said. 'She was pushing Mark around and yelling at him.'
The onlooker added: 'Lauren looked furious when she saw that he was out with Sam and her friends. She was really rude to the girls, demanding to know who they were.'
While her co-stars toasted Argent's birthday together at the fancy dress party, Miss Goodger appeared solo at Whisky Mist nightclub in short leopard-print mini dress.
Nearby, the rest of The Only Way Is Essex stars arrived in an assortment of weird and wonderful costumes.
Miss Faiers was dressed festively in a 'Mrs Santa' outfit, including tulle dress and candy-striped socks from Ann Summers.
She teamed the ensemble with sparkly silver heels and a cream faux fur coat from Topshop.
The birthday boy ensured he was the centre of attention in an eye-popping banana suit and polka dot tie while his girlfriend Lydia dressed up as a pirate.
But Mark was apparently too cool for such frivolity, choosing to forgo the costume in favour of jeans and a grey jacket.

Redhead Amy Childs did not attend, writing on her Twitter account: 'Hope args [sic] has the best birthday tonight I'm in bed not feeling good.'
Lauren and Mark's turbulent relationship was a recurring storyline throughout the reality series, which ended in November.
In an early episode, Lauren launched a foul-mouthed tirade at Sam and Mark when she saw them flirting at sugar hut nightclub on her birthday.

He's the man: Wright kept a steady arm on the birthday boy, who was in high spirits
Tantrum: Miss Goodger screamed at Sam and her friends in the lobby of the May Fair hotel
The couple - who dated for nine years - split in June, but Lauren revealed in one episode that they still slept together, and that Mark still told her he loved her.
The playboy best friend of Jade Goody's widower Tweed also dated fashion designer Lucy Meck during the series, which ended with Mark trying to choose between her and Lauren.
Wright has insisted all along that he is single, but admits if and Lauren did ever get back together, 'I'd ask her to marry me.'

Jealous: Lauren launched a foul-mouthed tirade when she spotted her ex flirting with the glamour model
The pair appeared at the Clothes Show in Birmingham together on Saturday.
Organisers have clearly hoped to avoid any run-ins, scheduling Miss Faiers and fellow cast member Harry Derbridge to appear today.
A show insider revealed that Lauren was angry that other cast members had been invited to appear at the show, telling organisers: 'I'm way more famous than Sam!'
