Behaving badly: Neil Morrissey, pictured on a flight in 2001, went on a drunken foul-mouthed rant during a BA flight
He is famous for Behaving Badly, and Neil Morrissey lived up to his character by getting a little too rowdy on a British Airways flight.
The 48-year-old was on his way back to the UK from Australia, where he was a guest panellist on I'm A Celebrity... when he shocked his fellow Club Class passengers with a drunken rant.
The actor was almost handcuffed by BA crew after causing a ruckus during flight BA012 from Singapore to Heathrow.
According to a BA source, Morrissey told other passengers loudly: 'Travelling Club is f***ing great, mate. Free f***ing wine - all you can f***ing well drink!'
Crew members alerted the Captain after he ignored their requests to 'cool it,' but he was fast asleep before any further action was taken.
A source told the Sun: 'When he woke up five or six hours later he seemed very shame-faced. It was like Jekyll and Hyde.'
A spokesperson for the actor, who is the voice of children's TV show Bob the Builder, confirmed that he did 'have a few drinks' before the flight, blaming his behaviour on a fear of flying.
Sheepish: This is not the first time the actor, pictured in London last week, has gotten in trouble for drunken behaviour while flying
'Neil is a very nervous flyer and did have a few drinks,' his rep admitted to the Sun. 'He is not the sort of person to deliberately cause offence.'
A British Airways spokesperson told the Mail Online: 'There were reports of an issue on board the flight from Singapore which was brought to the attention of the Captain.
'The matter was resolved and we are not taking any further action on this occasion.'
This is not the first time Morrissey has gotten into trouble for his drunken behaviour while travelling.
He was taken into custody and questioned by US Customs officials for being 'rude and drunk' at Los Angeles Airport in 2004.
The Men Behaving Badly star was forced to apologise after he lost his temper with officials while queuing for immigration checks.
He blamed his behaviour on the excessive amount of red wine he consumed on his first class Virgin Atlantic flight from London to Los Angeles.
