The writing has been on the wall for weeks, if not months, and now Katie Price has finally confirmed for the first time what fans have feared - that her marriage to Alex Reid is in crisis.

Posting on her official Twitter page, the 32-year-old model and businesswoman wrote: 'To answer my fans questions, News of the World did a accurate story Sunday about our marriage in crises (sic) ..always look on bright side xx.'

She failed to Tweet exactly how positive thinking was going to save her marriage of less than a year to the 37-year-old former cage fighter.

However, the star did manage to write that her next signing would be at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex this Saturday, this time promoting her KP Baby and KP Equestrian range.

The pair are meant to be celebrating their first wedding anniversary on 2 February - but it looks likely the only paper gift Alex may receive will come courtesy of Katie's divorce lawyers.

As MailOnline reported at the weekend, Katie and Alex jetted to a secret desert island destination last week in one final bid to save their marriage after months of rumours that they're on the brink of divorce.

The couple flew out to an exclusive resort in the Indian Ocean for crisis talks to decide whether there is anything left between them.

Katie - also known as Jordan - has been seen without her wedding ring on several recent occasions.

The troubled couple released smiling pictures of their New Year's stay to the News Of The World at the weekend to prove that they were fighting to save their love - the first time they've been seen together for weeks.

It's believed that former cagefighter Alex and mother-of-three Katie tried to put their arguing on hold for the week-long break to attempt to sort through their problems rationally.

Alex is reportedly fed up with the 'media circus' surrounding them and has struggled to cope with the fame thrust upon him since they married in Las Vegas in February - just four months after she divorced from Peter Andre.

The couple had only been dating for just under seven months when they wed.

Katie is said to be struggling to find time for Alex with her busy career including books, perfume, riding gear and TV projects grows ever more successful.

Both are also said to harbour grudges over their failure to conceive a baby through IVF - but insist they still love each other.

Dating: Peter Andre and Elen Rivas were seen out in London earlier this week, sparking rumours they are dating


His split from ex-wife Katie Price was one of the most memorable celebrity break-ups of all time.

But now it seems Peter Andre is back on the dating scene, after being pictured enjoying an evening with Frank Lampard's former fiancée Elen Rivas.

The couple appeared happy and affectionate as they were photographed leaving London's Claridge's Hotel after enjoying a performance of theatre show Flashdance: The Musical earlier in the evening.


As they left the exclusive hotel, protective Peter, 37, guided Elen to a taxi, before the pair headed home.

While Peter looked sharp in an all-black suit and shoes, the Spanish model went for a more colourful outfit in a bright pink coat over a blue dress and black sandals.

And it seems things are going from strength to strength for Peter and Elen, as a spokesperson said the pair have been dating for 'a couple of months'.

Rivas's spokesperson told the MailOnline: 'I can confirm Elen and Peter are in a relationship. No further comment will be made.'

It is believed Peter and mother-of-two Elen - who turned 36 on New Year's Day - met through mutual friends in November and instantly hit it off, even spending Christmas together.

Peter is quoted by the Daily Star as telling friends: 'She is so classy and beautiful, just the change I needed after everything that has happened in the last two years.'

The pair now share the same management company after Rivas recently signed to CAN Associates, who have guided Andre's career for years.

Father-of-two Peter has spoken on many occasions on his ITV2 reality show of his desire to meet someone new, and even his hopes of having more children in the future.

He said recently: 'I want to be in that family unit again and have more children and be in love again.

'I'm in no rush to get married but you never know who you're going to meet and when it will happen.

'I do have faith in marriage. It is very important and it's the key to the future of your children.'

While ex-wife Katie is now married to cage fighter Alex Reid, Peter has been single since the couple split in May 2009.

Despite a few brief encounters including a three-month fling with former glamour model Maddy Ford, Andre has struggled to find the right woman for him.

And, in the same way, Elen has remained resolutely single since splitting from Lampard in November 2008 after seven years together.

However, last year Elen - who has two daughters Isla, three, and Luna, five, with Lampard - admitted she was ready to get back out on the dating market.

She said: 'I want to find a man and get married. I miss having a man in every way.'

Elen then went on to describe her 'dream man', adding: 'He must be funny, tall, olive-skinned, intelligent and fit.'

Meanwhile, Peter appeared to be fully back to health after being forced to cancel several concerts last November following an operation to treat 'excruciating' kidney stones.

While the singer has now finished his Arena tour, he might be spotted in the audience of Dancing On Ice, supporting his new girlfriend Elen as she takes to the ice when the ITV show starts on January 9th.

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is allegedly coming under pressure from the woman who had his baby - unveiled for the first time as an attractive British student - to give her access to the child.

The 25-year-old former Manchester United player stunned the world last summer by announcing he had become a father.

At the time he said his son would be raised under his 'exclusive guardianship' and it later emerged he had allegedly bought the 20-year-old mother's silence in a £10million deal.


But sources say she now bitterly regrets handing over her baby - said to be the result of a one-night stand after she met the Portuguese superstar in a London nightclub - and regularly phones him saying she has changed her mind and offering to pay the money back.

The woman is understood to be so distressed at her decision that she has become deeply depressed and dropped out of her course.

A clause in the contract drawn up by Ronaldo's lawyers prevents her from discussing the situation with anybody, including her family and friends.

She has explained her sudden wealth on an unexpected windfall.

'She's often calling him late at night. She cried down the phone to him and pleads with him,' a source close to the woman told the Sunday Mirror.

'He shouldn't even be in contact with her but they have got into a twisted sort of routine.

'She even calls him after matches to congratulate him on how he played, hoping that one day she can appeal to his better nature.

'She feels like she has sold her soul. She has this millionaire lifestyle but can never tell her friends and family the truth about what has happened and that makes her feel incredibly lonely.'

A friend of Ronaldo, who moved to Real Madrid for a record £80million in 2009, said: 'As far as he is concerned it was her choice, her decision.'

Ronaldo has apparently said of the woman 'I've only spent time with her naked' - a reference to their single night of passion in a hotel.

After discovering she was pregnant, she contacted him through his agent, Jorge Mendes.

A DNA test was carried out while he was away playing for Portugal in the World Cup in South Africa and he announced he had become a father on Facebook on July 3.

The first proper sighting of the six-month-old, who has curly brown hair and blue eyes, was in the crowd at a Real Madrid game on December 8. He was being carried by Ronaldo's mother Dolores, 55, who is raising the baby with the player's sisters, Elma and Liliana Catia.

A friend added: 'Somehow the child's mother has managed to get in touch with him and is hounding him to see the baby.

'She will tell him about the millionaire's life she is now leading, with trips to exclusive London nightclubs. Her friends think she is a lottery winner and that's exactly how she's been behaving.

'But she is finding out that nothing will take the place of seeing her own child grow up. If they carry on talking like this she will only get more and more hurt.'

Ronaldo won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League while at Manchester Utd and was voted FIFA World Player of the Year in 2008.

But Jude Law made a serious fashion faux pas arriving at Heathrow airport yesterday, sporting a strange trouser and jacket combination.

The38-year old stepped out in a pair of cream jogging bottoms which he curiously teamed with a low cut white vest and grey jacket.

As they approached their car a smartly dressed man took charge of their luggage.

Jude and Sienna jetted back to London after holidaying in Nairobi in Kenya over New Year and the couple still seemed in holiday mode as they walked through the airport laughing and joking together.

Wedding plans: David Tennant is said to have proposed to his actress girlfriend Georgia Moffett


David Tennant is set to wed actress girlfriend Georgia Moffett.

The former Doctor Who star, 39, has been dating the mother-of-one, 26, for two and a half years.

The couple, who met on the set of the sci-fi series, are said to be planning a wedding for New Year's Day 2012.


A source told The Sun: 'They are besotted with each other and can't wait to tie the knot.'

The nuptials will mean the Scottish actor becomes stepfather to Moffett's eight-year-old son, Tyler.

David and Georgia met on the set of Doctor Who in May 2008 when she played the Time Lord's daughter Jenny in the episode The Doctor's Daughter.

Ironically, she is also the daughter of Peter Davison, who played the Doctor from 1981 to 1984 - the year Georgia was born.

Her mother is Davison's ex-wife, American actress Sandra Dickinson, who split from the actor when Georgia was ten years old.

Georgia herself is a single mother after giving birth to son Tyler when she was 17 and still at school.


Prior to dating him, the actress revealed in an interview: 'David is dishy, isn't he? He's not only a good-looking but he is such a lovely, sweet guy.'

Tennant has already won the approval of his fiancee's parents.

Her father Davison told the Mail two years ago: 'It’s great because David is a genuinely nice guy - and also a very fine Doctor Who.

'I’m delighted Georgia has found happiness because she hasn’t always had an easy life.'

Moffett is the last in a list of Doctor Who colleagues Tennant was reported to have romanced during his five years as the Time Lord.

A few months prior to meeting Moffett, he was linked to second assistant director Jennie Fava and BBC Wales staff member, Bethan Britton.

In October 2007, Tennant parted ways with actress Sophia Myles after a two-year relationship, following her move to Hollywood.

They, too, met on set - when Myles played Madame de Pompadour in a 2006 Doctor Who episode.

Pamela Anderson was left terrified after seeing a man feared to be a crazed fan was arrested by police after a violent altercation with officers at Liverpool Lime Street railway station.

The 43-year-old blonde actress had finished her stint playing the Genie at the city's Empire Theatre and was about to begin her journey back to London when the drama happened.

The unidentified man had tried to board her carriage when police were alerted - but when they approached him, he turned violent and allegedly tried to bite an officer, forcing them to use capture spray before they arrested him.

British Transport Police told MailOnline that a 21-year-old man was arrested at 9pm last night at the station after an altercation took place in which a police officer was assaulted.

The statement continued: 'The man became verbally abusive to rail staff he was asked to produce a ticket. British Transport Police attended and the man became violent and assaulted an officer and was arrested.

'Officers were forced to use capture spray as the man resisted arrest.'

Witnesses told MailOnline that it was the same man who had been following the star for days during her stint in panto - causing her to hire extra security.

They said she had been left visibly terrified by the scenes.

It's reported that he had bought tickets to see her in Aladdin 10 times in a row, and regularly waited outside the stage doors to catch a glimpse of his idol.

After being diagnosed with cancer four months ago, Michael Douglas has just seen the end of a difficult year.

But as the New Year begins, the actor is now facing a tense wait to see if his treatment has been successful.

The Hollywood actor, 66, put his worries to one side to spend some quality time with wife Catherine Zeta Jones and their two children Dylan, 10, and seven year old Carys.


The family enjoyed a meal out in New York together after arriving at J.F.K on Friday.

Michael was pictured outside the family home with his brood looking healthier than in recent weeks.

The actor was looking well-groomed with his hair brushed back, his face clean-shaven and colour flushed his cheeks.

Meanwhile Catherine stepped out in a glamorous black outfit sporting large black shades.

The couple were spotted at JFK Airport on Friday after, arriving back from a trip to San Francisco.

Michael was dressed causally in a zipped top, black trousers and a green cap.

Meanwhile Catherine, 42, went make-up free and covered her face with her hat and sunglasses as she sat in the back seat of their car.

It emerged Douglas was battling throat cancer back in August and he has been undergoing gruelling chemo and radiotherapy over the past few months.

He recently revealed he will discover in January whether the treatment has been successful.

Douglas recently revealed in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter - his first since undergoing treatment - that he will learn in January if the cancer has been eliminated. Doctors have told him this type of cancer has an 80 per cent cure rate.

‘It certainly has put a little perspective on mortality, obviously,’ he said.

But as I looked through the stats, I didn’t think of this as life and death, I just saw it as an illness to get over.

‘So I didn’t dig into the bottom of my soul to see what I could see.

'The level of chemo, the amount they’re giving you, combined with radiation, was the max they could do in that period of time. It’s amazing that they almost have to try and kill you to bring you back.’

Douglas has been spending lost of quality time with his family over the past month.

The veteran actor celebrated Thanksgiving in Florida with Catherine and their children where they visited Disney World as well as enjoying a magical day out at The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.
