Jessie J was in the centre of a Twitter storm last night after she revealed her two finalists in The Voice before the results show.

Three hours before the pre-recorded episode was broadcast on BBC One, the singer uploaded a photo of her reduced 'Team Jessie' - comprising of Vince Kidd and Becky Hill - on Twitter after she eliminated Toni Warne and Cassius Henry from the competition.

The decision between the four contestants had been made by Jessie on Saturday night following the live performance broadcast, but the information was under embargo until the results show on Sunday night.

Oops! Jessie J reveals Team Jessie comprises of Vince Kidd and Becky Hill by posting this 'team Jessie' photo on her Twitter account

Apparently forgetting viewers were waiting to find out who would be chosen, Jessie tweeted a photo of herself cosied up to Londoner Vince, 22, and Worcestershire student Becky, 18.

She captioned the image: '#teamjessie going in today.'

After a string of fans complained on Twitter she had given away who was voted off, she realised her error and quickly removed the tweet.

However, the image is still up on her Lockerz (photo-sharing) account, which shows it was posted around 4pm on Sunday afternoon - three hours before the result show started.

Giving the game away: The Voice viewers took to Twitter to explain their dismay at Jessie's error

One Twitter follower wrote: 'Jessie J has just tweeted a photo of her 'Team' which only includes 2 people. Results haven't been on yet Jessie! Gave the game away there!!'

Another wrote: 'LOL at Jessie J posting a picture with her & 2 of her team. presumably the 2 she saved. That we won't see until tonight. Ha.'

Around the same time, Jessie J took to Twitter to hit back at the criticism, tweeting: 'B**chy people + twitter = Unhealthy soul #karma #justbenice.'

Meanwhile, on Saturday The Voice took a battering in the ratings due to the Champion's League football final on ITV1.

Seven million tuned in to watch the start of ITV's match broadcast at 7pm, which overlapped with a bulk of the talent show, rising to an average of 10million.

However, The Voice - which ran from 6.30 until 8pm - only managed a peak of 6.5million viewers - a drop from the fourth's episode's peak of 11.99million.
