'Feel like I'm back in the kittens!' Kerry Katona looks like she's reliving her popstar days with long extensions

When she shot to fame as one third of hit pop group Atomic Kitten, Kerry Katona looked like a typical popstar with her long blonde hair.

But as she has matured, Kerry has experimented with a variety of looks, including brown hair and most recently a blonde crop.

However, now, the 31-year-old star is harking back to her popstar days, reliving her youth by swapping her short hair for long extensions.

Reliving her look: The new 'do is similar to the one Kerry sported when she sang as part of Atomic Kitten

Kerry shared a picture of her new look on her Twitter page last night, writing: 'Feel like I'm back in the kittens lol xx'

She later added: 'Omg my hair is soooo long!! Love a change xxx'

The extensions are certainly a change from Kerry's previous look - a bob which she has been styling straight and curly over the past few weeks.

Original line-up: Kerry with Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton during their Atomic Kitten days

Kerry was in Atomic Kitten from 1999 to 2001, when she left because she was pregnant with her first child with now ex-husband Brian McFadden.

And while there have been a spate of 90s bands reuniting in the past few years, such as Steps, Take That and the Spice Girls, it seems unlikely that Kerry will be rejoining Atomic Kitten for a comeback.

Jenny Frost - who replaced Kerry in 2001 - spoke recently about her feelings on the pop group reforming, but admitted that Kerry wouldn't be a part of it.

She said: 'I don't want to be derogatory about Kerry, but there shouldn't be four of us in Atomic Kitten. When we do anything, it will be just the three of us.'

As she was: Kerry sported a curly blonde bob as she attended David Gest and Patsy Palmer's joint birthday party last week

Changing looks: Kerry has experimented with a variety of hairdos, including a blonde crop and long brown hair

However, Kerry later responded to Jenny's comments, writing in her OK! magazine column: 'We all say things in the spur of the moment and I always try and take these things with a pinch of salt.

'But, Jenny – we all make mistakes, I’m sure you’ve made a few – who are you to say those things about me?

'You weren’t even in my life then and didn’t know how messed up my head was! Rather than judge, why not give me a helping hand instead? I’m a lot more grown up than I used to be and I admit I was very silly.

'Last time I saw Jenny I had a wonderful time with her. She’s in a really good place with a lovely new man and a wonderful son so there should be no problem with us.'
