Where's Harry Hill when you need him? Jennifer Lopez (l) and Nicole Scherzinger (r) were both battling it out on the bill of the Capital Radio Summertime Ball tonight at London's Wembley Stadium
They're judges on rival talent show over in the U.S. - but it was up to 75,000 music fans at London's Wembley Stadium to decide who was the best after both Nicole Scherzinger and Jennifer Lopez performed at the Summertime Ball tonight.
The pair were having a diva face-off on the bill at the Capital Radio-organised pop concert on a star-studded bill - but the jury was out on not just who had the best songs, but the best outfits too.
Former Pussycat Doll Nicole, 32, who has just started her job on the X Factor USA, was first up on stage, wearing a low-cut feathery number, despite the chilly rainy weather.
Despite probably worrying about how well her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton was doing in the Canadian Grand Prix - terribly, as it turned out - she was pretty much note perfect as she belted out her short set.
It included her two recent UK No. 3 hit singles Poison and Right There, her No. 1 Don't Hold Your Breath, as well as the Pussycat Dolls 2005 smash Don't Cha and at one point, was carried aloft by hunky male dancers.
She arguably got one over her older rival Jennifer too by changing into a red and black tasselled dress and getting Enrique Iglesias onstage with her.
Such great heights: Nicole was first onstage and was carried aloft by some hunky male dancers
Shake a tail feather: Nicole was performing before 75,000 pop fans at the Capital Radio-organised bash
On the low down: The new X Factor USA judge didn't seem phased about her older, more experienced musical rival being after her on the bill
However, 41-year-old mother-of-two J-Lo was determined not to be outdone, and showed she meant business when she took to the stage in a black jewelled basque with combat trousers and bovver boots.
She romped through tracks including her No. 1 hit Get Right, as well as classics Waiting For Tonight and Jenny From The Block.
After her most recent single I'm Into You though, she changed into in a racy beige basque, jewelled tights and over-the-knee boots to launch into her No. 1 hit On The Floor - one more song than Nicole had in her set.
Great platform: J-Lo took the stage after Nicole and performed five of her hit singles
On the floor: The star flung her hair around and got up and close and personal with her fans during her set
Making a point: Jen got to sing one more song than Nicole too
J-Lo also has more talent show experience than Nicole too, having got an entire series of American Idol under her belt, whereas Nicole has just got a few outings as a guest judge on the UK's X Factor under hers.
Nicole has also recently spoken of her joy at being promoted to a judge after Cheryl Cole was sacked.
Speaking at to be part of the US X Factor and said she was 'ecstatic' after she given a judging role.
Great British summer: Just a few of the 75,000 music fans who landed tickets to go to the Capital Radio Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium
Singing in the rain: JLS were one of the biggest hits of the event
Nice touch: Marvin Humes reaches out to one lucky fan during the JLS set
The former Pussy Cat Doll was speaking at her debut appearance in New Jersey.
She told The Sunday Mirror: 'I wanted to be part of the show. I love the show, I believed in the show, I believe in Simon.
'When they proposed the idea of me being a judge, I couldn't have been more ecstatic. I absolutely think the dynamic is working and this is a new chapter in my life and I'm so grateful,' she told the Sunday Mirror.
And Jennifer had had something of a warm-up when she performed On The Floor on the live final of So You Think You Can Dance the night before, showing off her incredible figure in a skintight sparkly catsuit.
Hot stuff: Despite the cold, Enrique Iglesias raised temperatures when he dragged fan Sophie Elphick out of the crowd during his set and kissed her
In the spotlight: Ne-Yo was bathed in red light at one point during his set
Braving the rain: Capital Radio breakfast hosts Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon got wet as two of the hosts of the huge live music event
Other stars who performed at the bash today included Jessie J, who took the stage despite badly injuring her foot in rehearsals, JLS, and the aforementioned Enrique.
He whisked fan Sophie Elphick, 18, out of the audience onto stage to sing for her, before kissing her on the cheek.
Also entertaining the crowds in the bucketing rain were Katy B and Cee Lo Green and the show was hosted by the likes of Capital Radio's Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon.
