It girls: Nicola Roberts (left) has a colour pop today at the Charles Anastase show while reality star and socialite Olivia Palermo goes for beige at Jaeger
One is known for always being one step ahead of the trend in England, while the other is famous for her signature New York girl style across the pond.
Girls Aloud singer - and one of London's best dressed - has found a foreign fashionista in her turf as It Girl and star of reality series The City Olivia Palermo jetted into town for London Fashion Week.
The pair, both front row regulars - will be comparing their fashion show tallies over the next few days as they attend as many big name shows as they can muster.
The girls have already shown their contrasting styles a day into Fashion Week.
Nicola, 25, embraced the colour pop trend currently in all the fashion magazines, attending the Charles Anastase this morning in an electric blue blazer.
But while fashion-lover Nicola should be in her element, the singer failed to raise a smile as she waited for the show to start.
On trend: The New York socialite, who starred in MTV show The City, also attended the Look show yesterday
Perhaps she was practising her best Miranda Priestly pout - the fictional Anna Wintour-esque character from The Devil Wears Prada.
Meanwhile 24 -year-old Olivia stuck to her chic and cool style in a tan shirt dress at the Jaeger show.
The caramel shade set off the socialite's deep golden tan and matched her leopard-print booties.
Olivia, who starred in MTV series The City, is the star attraction of the week, with fashion fans and photographers alike clambering for a glimpse of the international guest.
Colourful: Singer Paloma Faith (left, at yesterday's PPQ show) and TV presenter Jameela Jamil (today at Jaeger) both brought some colour to a grey day
Yesterday she wore a slightly brighter mustard yellow dress to attend the Look show, singer Marina from Marina & The Diamonds wore a similar style in magenta.
Also embracing the colour trend are Paloma Faith, who was typically kooky at yesterday's PPQ event, while T4 presenter Jameela Jamil defied the grey day in a pink puffball skirt and polka dot shoes - and ensures she wouldn't go hungry with a licorice necklace.
Other shows on today expected to draw a large celebrity crowd include Betty Jackson, House of Holland, John Rocha and Jonathan Saunders showcasing their autumn/winter collections.
Quick change: Marina Diamandis from Marina & The Diamonds wore a jumper dress for the Felder.Felder show before going pink for Look
Fashionable front row: Jo Wood, Jaime Winstone, Laura Whitmore and Corienne Bailey Rae attended the PPQ show last night
But the hottest ticket is undeniably Issa London, where Madonna is rumoured to be among the expected attendees.
The British-based label has been thrown into the spotlight after Kate Middleton wore one of the designer's "draped" gowns to announce her engagement to Prince William.
The future royal's status as a fashion icon is tipped to bring a new level of interest to the British catwalk this year.
