Home from home: This is said to be the modest rental home Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg is moving into in California

He is worth an estimated $7billion - but Mark Zuckerberg is anything but flash.

The Facebook founder's new pad won't be found on some millionaires' row, instead it's an extremely modest abode bordering on the dowright ordinary.

Zuckerberg has moved just half a mile from his old place in the Paolo Alto suburb of San Francisco and upscaled to five bedrooms from four.

And, perhaps sensibly in uncertain times, he is continuing to rent rather splash out any of his billions.

His thriftiness is a marked contrast to that of fellow Forbes moneyman Larry Page, of Google, who this week bought himself a $45m yacht complete with helipad and 14 staff.

Zuckerberg's old house is just seven blocks away but the move means he'll be able to spend even more time at work - he reputedly spends 16 hours a day at Facebook HQ.

Hoop dreams: Zuckerberg has a very small area in which to shoot baskets - couldn't he have built himself a court?

The 3,800sq ft property comes with five bedrooms and four bathrooms, a driveway and basketball hoop and several CCTV cameras.

And appropriately for a man with his finger on the global pulse, he has THREE satellite dishes on his roof.

Out front sits Zuckerberg's Lexus Acura, while a silver hatchback in the drive completes a nice, but rather unremarkable motor collection.

Last September, 26-year-old Zuckerberg gave a glimpse inside the run-of-the-mill house which he had been renting down the road with his long-term girlfriend Priscilla Chan.

The reclusive businessman let the cameras inside his abode for an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show and even allowed himself to be caught on camera greeting his girlfriend with a kiss.

The workaholic revealed he studied Chinese every morning at the kitchen table and also on view could be seen riding skateboards, while walls are covered with inspirational phrases like 'Fail Harder' and 'What Would You Do If You Weren't Afraid?'

Unremarkable: The old gaff seven blocks away

While Mark Zuckerberg makes do with a rented five-bedroom home, Larry Page splashed out $45m on the 193-foot Senses yacht that first set sail in 1999
