X Factor rejects: Wagner gets to grips with Chloe Mafia and gives her a back and neck mssage as they have a break from rehearsals for tonight's show

They were two of the most controversial contestants ever to have graced the stage of the X Factor - and many of the show's fans were more than happy to see the back of them.

But womanising Brazilian Wagner, 54, and escort girl Chloe Mafia have been spotted rehearsing for tonight's first leg of the final - and in a match made in hell, the pair are getting on like a house on fire.

Despite not having many friends in the X Factor finalists' house during his stay there, Wagner was seen standing behind the 19-year-old single mother of one a massage.

We guess it makes a change from Chloe dishing out personal services herself...

The Wakefield-born call girl was put through to the Boot Camp stage of the show despite being 'outed' as an escort who sold sexual services on the internet.

Odds on: Matt Cardle one of shortest backed favourites to win in one of tightest finals X Factor history

Real name Chloe Heald, she auditioned at the X Factor's Manchester auditions in July using the name Chloe Victoria while advertising herself for hire on sleazy website adultwork.com under the name candy_escort.

Fake tanned wannabe Chloe was also seen in a lewd pose with another X Factor loser last night while wearing a cheap-looking tiara and wearing head-to-toe leopard print along with her trademark heavy make-up.

Often out-of-tune Wagner meanwhile was kept in the show by an internet campaign which urged people to vote for him to win in a bid to embarrass Simon Cowell.

He also came under criticism for claiming incapacity benefits for a frozen shoulder, despite performing exuberant dance routines on the show - which usually saw him flirting with or getting to grips with the backing dancers.

Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith confirmed earlier this week that his case was under investigation.

The gruesome twosome were back in London to rehearse for tonight's show, which will see various auditonees and failed finalists reunited onstage.

Losers reunited: Abbey Johnson, left, and Josef Al-Smadi from Diva Fever, were also at the X Factor final rehearsals

They include Leamington Spa teen Abbey Johnston, who punched pal Lisa Parker in an episode of the show in August after what Simon Cowell called 'the worst audition in history.'

Other more popular auditionees returning to our screens tonight include Diva Fever, Storm Lee, Paije Richardson, Belle Amie, Mary Byrne, John Adeleye, Aiden Grimshaw and Treyc Cohen.

Katie Waissel is also due to return to the show, which will see the four remaining finalists perform duets with special guest stars.

Matt Cardle is teaming up with Rihanna, One Direction with Take That, Cher Lloyd with Will.i.am and Rebecca Ferguson with Christina Aguilera.

Take That meanwhile will be performing on Sunday's grand final, along with a rumoured appearance by Prince.

Girls allowed: Belle Amie are also back for the X Factor final ensemble
